Many people are lured to entering the MLM or network marketing world because of the sales pitch that you can easily create HUGE amounts of wealth. By showing you a great compensation plan along with supposedly “in demand” products, and an MLM recruiting method that’s been pitched since the very beginning of the MLM industry… you know, just get 2 to join your business and help them get 2 recruits and so on — no wonder why so many people consider network marketing as their ticket to riches.
The Realities of MLM Recruiting
There is no doubt that if you’ll work hard enough in your network marketing business, you’ll eventually find financial freedom and success.
Even so, there are more and more network marketing failure stories than success stories. Statistics will even tell you that the average distributor will drop out of their MLM business in 30 to 90 days.
Isn’t this ridiculous? Pretty discouraging…
So even with an existing MLM recruiting system in place, with a drop out rate that high… it’s pretty hard to imagine growing a sales organization that gives you that residual income promise that MLM is so known for.
Hearing the failures of so many network marketers, you’ll find out that most of them actually felt that they get insufficient support from their sponsors and companies. Many of them feel that they lack the training to implement an effective MLM recruiting system and that most of the time, all they hear from their uplines over and over again is…
“Go talk to as many people as you can about the business. Some will, some won’t… so what. Just go get them!”
If you’re currently in a traditional MLM business, you’re probably finding out by now that this traditional MLM recruiting method is no longer effective in building a real big organization – especially with the increasing popularity of recruiting using the internet.
So, if you can’t get enough training from your company or sponsor about MLM recruiting via internet methods, you might as well gear up by learning the principles of “attraction marketing”.

Anyways, here’s an MLM recruiting strategy that I suggest instead:
To achieve your desired results, combine your attraction marketing efforts with internet marketing. All you have to do is leverage the power of the internet. Take advantage of how the internet can help you brand and market yourself as an expert on whatever it is you have to offer… such as your MLM company, products you sell to your chosen niche market, etc.
You can use the social networking sites to connect with people and offer them value in the form of information and training, write articles on topics that your target market is interested in, contribute to forums, and get involved with video marketing. All of these methods are effective ways to brand yourself online.
When you provide value and training to your prospects, you’ll attract more people this way who wants to work with you and get involved with your business. This is much more effective than pushing your opportunity and products to your friends and family or passing out flyers to strangers. And if you are already marketing your MLM business online, this strategy will set you apart from everyone else who is using any replicated website that their company uses, which is what amateurs in the MLM business do by the way when they are marketing online.
The MLM recruiting old school strategy of blasting promises of riches with your MLM opportunity is no longer effective these days. People have already become immune to all of this. This holds true whether you promote online or offline.
I’m not saying you should not promote your business opportunity, in fact you should! All I’m saying is if this is the only way you are doing MLM recruiting, then your road to success in MLM will be a long one.
When you provide more value, you’re actually using the best way to attract people with what you’re doing. People start to look at you as an authority in the industry. Remember, to succeed in this industry, you have to be a leader that people want to follow. Your prospects want a leader to coach them to success. By doing the things that leaders do, by adopting the right mindset, and by educating yourself so you can help the people who join your business, you become the business partner that your prospects want to work with.
So try out this slight strategic change in your MLM recruiting efforts. This online recruiting strategy will eventually lead to the success that you are working for in MLM.
